How might seamless three dimensional sensing surfaces enable more intuitive interactions?
Overview
TG0 is a technology company building three dimensional interactive surfaces and input devices with a single material and no electronic sensors. TG0’s approach unlocks a unique dynamic between a device’s form factor and the digital interactions it is capable of.
Through a number of product innovation engagements I have worked with the TG0 team on interaction design R&D, creating and mapping novel interaction frameworks through the design, fabrication and testing of hardware prototypes that advanced the team’s understanding of the technology’s potential.
I utilised insights from this work in joint development initiatives with major brands from the automotive and computer peripherals sectors. I also introduced a new approach to device testing in collaboration with ML engineers, prototyping a rapid testing rig that closed the gap between fabrication and data capture, increasing the efficacy of collaboration between design, hardware and engineering disciplines in the early stages of product development.
